Join Our Board. Build Community.
Want to serve on the Friends with Benefits Board of Directors? Here’s what you need to know.
Our board isn't just a governing body — it's a team of passionate volunteers who believe that giving back should be creative, community-driven, and a whole lot of fun. Together, we dream up unique events, build meaningful partnerships, and help local nonprofits make an even bigger impact throughout Denton.
Serving on the board is a rewarding opportunity to use your talents, ideas, and connections to strengthen our community while working alongside an incredible group of people who genuinely care about making a difference.
Completing this application will help you learn more about the expectations, responsibilities, and time commitment of serving as a board member while also helping our current Board of Directors get to know you.
Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis as openings become available. New board members are elected by a majority vote of the current Board of Directors.

Serve a minimum two-year term. There are no term limits, and board members may continue serving additional consecutive terms.

Actively participate in planning and supporting Friends With Benefits events, fundraisers, and community initiatives throughout the year.
Help promote our mission by sharing events, inviting friends and colleagues, engaging your network, and serving as an ambassador for Friends With Benefits in the community.
Collaborate with fellow board members, volunteers, sponsors, nonprofit partners, and community leaders to create memorable experiences that benefit local causes.
What to Expect
