WHAT HAVE WE DONE?
Over the past 12 years, Friends With Benefits has given nearly $300,000 back to the Denton community, supporting local nonprofits, individuals, and causes. Along the way, we've collected 1,000+ pounds of winter clothing, funded $30,000+ in birthday celebrations for children in foster care, purchased 300+ teacher wish list items, provided $12,000+ to fight food insecurity, met $5,000+ in holiday needs, invested $20,000+ in scholarships and education, and contributed $50,000+ to support local and national artists.
OUR CULTURE
Since 2013, Friends With Benefits has raised more than $200,000 for local nonprofits through countless charity events, community drives, and creative fundraisers. But none of it happens because of one person—it happens because of our friends.
Our volunteers aren't just volunteers. They're the heart of everything we do.
We're a close-knit community of people who believe giving back should be fun, meaningful, and a little unexpected. Whether we're producing one of Denton's biggest annual events, collecting donations for a family in need, or dreaming up the next quirky fundraiser, it's our friends who make the magic happen.
Volunteering with Friends With Benefits is as flexible as you need it to be. Some of our friends help year-round by serving on committees and planning events. Others jump in a few times a year to greet guests, sell raffle tickets, check people in, or lend a hand wherever it's needed. However you choose to give your time, there's a place for you.
When you become a Friend, you're joining more than a volunteer list—you're joining a family.
We work hard. We laugh often. We solve problems together. We celebrate wins together. We sweat through event days, high-five at the finish line, and leave knowing we've made a real difference in our community.
Over the years, we've built a reputation for creating experiences people remember—not just because our events are fun, but because of the people behind them. Our volunteers are known for showing up with positive attitudes, doing whatever needs to be done, and making every guest, sponsor, beneficiary, venue partner, and fellow volunteer feel welcomed and appreciated.
