In 2017, Friends With Benefits set out to do what we do best: create an unforgettable event around a community we believed deserved more celebration, visibility, and support.
The result was We Denton Drag It.
What began as a bold idea has grown into one of Denton's most anticipated annual events—a high-energy variety show that brings together local venues, drag performers, musicians, entertainers, and artists from across North Texas and beyond.
More than just a show, We Denton Drag It is a celebration of the creativity, resilience, and vibrancy of our LGBTQIA+ community. Every ticket purchased helps support organizations making a meaningful impact, including OUTreach Denton, Denton County Friends of the Family, Stoke, and other local nonprofits that strengthen and uplift our community.
At Friends With Benefits, we believe the best events do more than entertain—they create belonging, spark conversations, and turn a night of celebration into lasting community impact. We Denton Drag It embodies that vision, shining a spotlight on extraordinary talent while raising critical support for organizations doing important work throughout Denton.
It's loud. It's colorful. It's joyful. And it's one of the many ways our community comes together to prove that when everyone has a place to shine, Denton shines even brighter.
